Keeping Going Group
So
you're about to finish withdrawal? Then come along to: Keeping Going What "Keeping Going" can offer you: Completing a withdrawal generally means that you have made some positive changes in your drug use. You may have significantly reduced the amount you were drinking, using, or smoking or ceased using drugs altogether. Now you face the challenge of maintaining these changes in your normal life over time. Often it helps to have some support and a space where you can talk and meet other people experiencing the same thing. It's also useful to arm yourself with a few skills and strategies that may be helpful along the way. How the group works: The Keeping Going group meets every Thursday afternoon at Moreland Hall from 2pm to 4pm. Offering a mixture of support, activities and information, the group explores 7 topics (and an outing on the 8th week) over eight weeks designed to help you make and maintain positive changes in your life. New group members can join at any time. Every eight weeks the topics covered will begin again, so that new members will always get all of the topics offered. At the end of eight weeks every group member will receive a certificate of attendance. We ask that participants do not attend the group drug affected. Topics may include:
