Are you the parent of a child under 5 years?
Moreland Hall Playgroups are fun!

What is a playgroup?

A playgroup is a group of parents or carers who meet weekly with their babies, toddlers or pre-schoolers. Playgroups are about children having fun and learning through play, while the parent/carer makes new friends and shares experiences.

At playgroup your child will have the opportunity to

  • Have fun
  • Learn to share
  • Learn to socialise with other children
  • Explore a new environment with different experiences

As a parent you will

  • Learn about community resources
  • Share parenting stories
  • Learn about children’s stages of development
  • Make new friends

What happens with Playgroup?

  • The playgroup will provide a program of play activities, which are appropriate for your child
  • These activities will assist in your child’s development
  • Parents will stay with their child and with the support of the playgroup worker will be invited to suggest or contribute to the setting up of these activities
