Moreland Leader - Catalyst Refunding 7th May 2012
7 May, 2012: An article in Moreland's Leader Newspaper announced the Victorian Government 4 year refunding of the Catalyst Community Alcohol Rehabilitation program.
MORELAND Hall’s day-time recovery program for alcoholics has had its future assured.
The six-week, non-residential program was guaranteed funding for the next four years in last week’s State Budget, much to the delight of service chief executive Laurence Alvis. The program, which enables addicts to rehabilitate while living at home, has run as a pilot for the past three years and won the 2011 National Drug and Alcohol Award for Excellence in Treatment Services.
Mr Alvis said the program had a 63 per cent completion rate, outstripping similar programs overseas.
