Withdrawal
Services
Moreland Hall provides
a range of services to assist people to withdraw from drugs including
alcohol.
An initial assessment
is carried out to determine which withdrawal service best suits the
individual client's needs.
The withdrawal services
are:
- Homebased
- Outpatient
- Community residential
- Adult
- Community residential
- Youth
Withdrawal Services
are provided for people residing in the Northern Metropolitan Region.
The Youth Community Residential Withdrawal service also takes clients
from the Hume region.

Counselling
and Support
The Counselling, Consulting
and Continuing Care Team of experienced counsellors assist people to deal
with problems associated with alcohol and other drug use.
Programs may be
offered on an individual or group basis.
Counselling and
support is provided to those who are experiencing problematic drug use,
their families and friends.
Clients include
members of the general community as well as those on court orders, drug
diversion programs and at Port Phillip Prison.
Playgroups
There is also a Playgroup program offered. A playgroup is a group of parents or carers who meet weekly with their babies, toddlers or pre-schoolers. Playgroups are about children having fun and learning through play, while the parent/carer makes new friends and shares experiences.

Education
and Training
The Education and
Training Unit has gained a reputation for the development and delivery
of high quality educational programs and resources. Services include:
- Alcohol and other
drug education to schools, parents and community groups
- Professional
development for staff of health and welfare agencies
- The production
of books, pamphlets and multi-media drug and alcohol resources
- Management of
a range of forensic drug and alcohol programs
UnitingCare
Moreland Hall is a registered training organisation.

Chaplain
- Personal Support
The chaplain contributes to the work of UnitingCare Moreland Hall's multi-disciplinary teams by working with clients, their families and friends to foster their spiritual growth and offer pastoral support through personal issues.
The minister also maintains
important links with external organisations both within and outside the Uniting
Church in Australia.
