Who
is eligible for Post Withdrawal Support?
Those
who have participated in the UnitingCare Moreland Hall Withdrawal
Program. This may include residential withdrawal, adult
and youth, or outpatient and home based withdrawal programs.

is the cost?
The
service is free of charge.

Referral
to the service
Referrals can be
made by other drug and alcohol services, withdrawal service staff or
individuals participating in the withdrawal program. Referrals may be
made by phone, fax or in person. Please call Chris Frei on (03) 9497

Life
after withdrawal
It can
often be a scary task to tackle a drug and alcohol problem
alone. You may ask yourself; now that I've finished detox,
what now? Some people find that they need additional support
or treatment after they have completed withdrawal in order
to alter their patterns of use.

Services
available
- Individual
drug and alcohol counselling can provide professional assistance
with relapse prevention and other issues linked to your
drug use.
- Short
and long term support/information groups are available on
topics such as self esteem, relapse prevention, problem
solving and goal setting. These can be run at drug and alcohol
services or community health centres.
- Support
groups such as AA, NA and MA can provide ongoing support
to "stay stopped."
- There
are several short and long term rehabilitation programs
provided across Victoria with a range of approaches to drug
and alcohol treatment.
